Abstract:

Cybersecurity is 'hot'. Cyber incidents are daily news, with damages ranging from financial theft to cyber espionage to rigged elections. Top government leaders worldwide have 'cyber' high on their agenda, worried as they are about the risks of erosion of national sovereignty and cyber-war.

In this one-hour course you will get an insight into what cybersecurity today is all about. We analyze the nature of major cyber incidents, the underlying technologies and how cybersecurity affects people, organizations and nations. You will also get a perspective on the future of cybersecurity in terms of technologies like artificial intelligence, law and regulations, and international governance. Time permitting, we will co-create a (hypothetical) cyber incident.
