It's no secret that there are no fault-free software systems. In this lecture, students will learn about the main types of inaccuracies, understand the relationships between errors, faults and failures, what defects can be detected by different types of testing, as well as get an idea of the activities that must be performed to detect defects. During the lecture, the defect management process and its activities will be explained, as well as students will understand the life cycle of defects and their status tracking. The lecture will demonstrate the defect report template and defect classification, as well as one of the most popular tools Jira for management of software development projects.

Životopis predavačice:

Tatjana is expirienced associated professor with a genuine interest in mathematics educated in information technologies. She has lectured in higher mathematics, numerical methods, mathematical statistics, software project management, software testing, user interface design, www technologies etc..

In parallel with her work with students, Tatjana is the institute director of Computer systems and data science in one of LBTU faculties - faculty of Engineering and information technologies. As a expert she has worked in several evaluation procedures of the study field "Information technologies, computer engineering, electronics, telecommunications, computer management and computer science" at several universities of Latvia.
